3. Tenzing TC SP14 Shooters Hunting Backpack
The Tenzing TC SP14 is a pioneer in the world of bowhunting. It has a deep center channel that your bow (or rifle) fits into and two separate compartments that sandwich the bow into place. This makes the weapon much more secure in the pack and moves the weight closer to your back, so it doesn't feel like it's pulling you down. It was originally designed just for bow hunting but when the designers tried it with a rifle, they realized that it was just as effective. Plus, it doubles up as a shooter's rest, so you can shoot straight out of the pack.
This pack is also one of the toughest on the market. It has an internal fluted aluminum frame that keeps the pack's shape perfectly, even when it's fully loaded. Plus, the pack itself is made from Robic rip-stop nylon covered in a tricot fabric, making it lightweight, super tough, and water-resistant. Of course, if the heavens open, you'll need to pull out the built-in rain cover. This pack is one of the best hunting backpacks in the world. If you can stomach the big price tag, it's worth it because it will never let you down.
4. Allen Remington Camo Hunting Backpack
If you're going hunting with a rifle, you need a backpack that can carry it. The Allen Remington Camo Hunting Daypack is designed specifically to carry a long gun on a day-long hunt. The integrated long gun carrying system is one of the best we've seen. It has a pouch that fits the butt of the gun, which means that the weight of the gun isn't pulling on the straps. Then, it has multiple straps that stop the rifle from falling off. This system makes it feel like you're not carrying much more weight, which is ideal for long treks.
There are five pockets on the outside of the pack, including two large zippered pockets that are ideal for carrying ammunition and other equipment. Inside the pack, there's a mesh pocket to keep everything organized. The back of the pack is lined with mesh to make the pack more breathable. Plus, it's covered in natural camo that will blend in perfectly with a woodland setting.
5. AUMTISC Hunting Backpack
The AUMTISC Hunting Backpack is one of the most affordable hunting backpacks on the market. If you're trying to get everything you need to hunt, on a shoestring budget, we'd highly recommend this pack. Obviously, it's not going to be as tough or have as many features as a premium hunting backpack but we think it's capable enough for most hunting situations. The most important feature on this pack is the bow/rifle carrying system. It hangs down from the bottom of the bag and supports the butt of the rifle or bow. This design prevents the weight of the weapon from pulling on the front of the bag.
One design flaw on this bag is the lack of exterior pockets. Every hunter needs quick access to ammunition and other bits of hunting equipment, and this bag doesn't provide many great places to keep it. However, this can easily be remedied by wearing an ammunition belt or keeping it in one of your pockets. In short, it's not the best hunting backpack on this list but it's competitively priced and works perfectly well.
