In spite of its pretty extreme name the Raid Storm1 cuts a fairly conservative profile. It's obviously a backpack meant for professionals and in that regard it's one of the best. There is plenty of internal space which means you can stow your laptop, important documents, briefs, folders, law books or anything else you need but there's also 2 mesh water sleeves on the outside in case you get hot and thirsty. The storm is also highly water resistant so your important documents won't get ruined if it starts raining on the way to the subway.
2. Under Armour Undeniable 3.0 Backpack
There is absolutely no denying that the Undeniable 3.0 from Under Armour takes a fresh look at the backpack and presents us with something both unexpected and highly functional. It looks a bit like what you might get if you crossed a clothes hamper with a standard ruckpack. The flip top provides easy access to the voluminous inner compartment where you'll find your laptop sleeve and valuables pocket. 3. Under Armour Storm Big Logo IV Backpack
The Big Logo IV Backpack by Under Armour provides 2,000 cubic inches of capacity created by adding depth. That additional depth means obtaining and retaining balance, especially with a full load, could be problematic. But with the Big Logo IV it's just another day at the office. There's plenty of lightweight but effective padding to protect your back, a large fore-pocket for clothes, the usual good sized laptop sleeve and a top carry handle. The Storm Undeniable II is a more muted version of the Undeniable 3.0 that retains the flip top and adds large side pockets to the exterior that could be used for water but would do just as well holding workout peripherals like underwear, running socks and the like. The flip top opens to expose an extra-large main compartment that's great for holding everything from beach stuff to groceries. And make no mistake, this more than a bookbag. It's all about the beach, the market, the trail or the gym.
5. Under Armour CORDURA Regiment Backpack
The Cordura Regiment Backpack offers the large volume main compartment and multiple pockets of the classic regiment bag but presented in a more user friendly, tech-friendly and shoulder-friendly way. There's a lot of space here, about 1,500 cubic inches in the main compartment, and the numerous side pockets add several hundred more cubic inches. The pack is beautifully balanced and UA provides a chest strap at the front that keeps the shoulder straps from separating so that perfect balance stays perfect.
6. Under Armour UA Huey Backpack
The Huey Backpack from Under Armour is just the right pack to take on extended day hikes either from the roadside campground or from a camp to deeper in the woods. The classic UA “pod” shape is back with the Huey along with zippered side pockets, should you want to use that space for something besides water. The Hudson is a deceptively large backpack that's just as comfortable in camp as it is on campus. The lack of exterior pockets indicates its more academic leanings, while the molle webbing says it's not just for the library. The large central compartment invites you to stuff in your hiking gear while the laptop sleeve says “not so fast”. Some would say the pack lacks direction, but we prefer to think of it as versatile instead. And it is. The Guardian is efficient portable storage at its best with a trim profile, outstanding balance, easy access to your books or kit and plenty of molle webbing in case you find yourself at the campground. The Guardian is a deep pack so it holds a lot more than you initially think it does. But it's not bulky or awkward when slung and the ergonomically correct shoulder straps keep everything in place.
